We are getting closer!

It’s getting closer! Way of a Warrior will be held at Living Springs Centre near Christchurch, New Zealand October 7-14th 2012.
It’s a poignant time to be in Christchurch. The giant demolition cranes nibble and pull down earthquake damaged buildings, bringing huge hunks of concrete crashing to the ground. The operators are skilled, and crowds gather to watch with excitement and sadness as our landmarks fall. Spaces are left behind once the rubble has been cleared. This reminds me to notice my response to the reality in front of me. There are things we like and don’t like in our world – and for us as Warriors the question is what do we do with this?
We too are all in the process of old patterns of behaviours that no longer serve us being challenged by our lifeshocks. So we too have patterns to clear away and in so doing, an opening occurs for a new vision and creation. Warrior offers you the time to discover new directions and ways forward.
We are honoured that Way of a Warrior is being held here in NZ and excited to invite you to attend this year.  This powerful course will strengthen all those who attend - participants, team and trainers, and it couldn’t come at a better time!
Way of a Warrior is a natural follow on from the work you began at the More to Life(MTL) weekend.
Many people experience a sense of new-found freedom after the MTL weekend, and begin to see greater possibilities for how they can live their lives in integrity, with honesty. They are more able to see themselves and others as they really are, and can experience the freedom to choose their own destiny. Of course you know a lot about this already.
Yet the reactive mind is a tricky character. Your work in the MTL weekend is likely to have awakened you to the tricks and lies of the mind.

In truth there is so much more on offer.
It is one thing to notice your mindtalk; it is another to take a powerful and transformative stand on the truth that will change your life.
It is one thing to open to the power of your authority; it is another to choose with power that which alters the course of your future.
It is one thing to open your heart and let go an old resentment; it is another to open to the unconditional love that is on offer to you in every moment of your life!
It is one thing to see yourself in the mirror and let go your own ill will; it is another to wake up day in and day out with an unwavering commitment to be true to yourself…always…and to follow your heart’s desire.

Life calls us to more noble and fulfilling goals, into being our deepest and most authentic selves, as well as well as an integral part of the world community. Way of a Warrior is the experience of just that and more. Some benefits on offer include:
  • Increased integrity in personal and business relationships
  • Discernment in decision-making
  • Enhanced ability to define and create goals
  • Powerful vision of your life purpose
  • Ability to make a stronger contribution to the life of the world around you.
So we encourage you to grasp this time. This is the first time Way of a Warrior has been offered in NZ, and we have no plans for bringing it back again in the near future. It is unlikely to ever be closer to you! Mark Tardiff wrote:
“No other experience in my life has offered me the joy of human fellowship with humanity and all life that is even remotely similar to WOW.  Your heart will sing.  My only regret is that I found ‘good reasons’ not to go for ten years.”

This letter is in your hands because we want you with us on this journey. We are grateful and excited to meet all those coming to join us here, and hope you will be among them!

With love, honour and respect

My discovery and invitation to you

Recently, I had a conversation about living life in the ‘positive’ domain, keeping our minds in that ‘good’ space, the one we like, enjoy and want more of. When I am in the swing of the ‘good’ and ‘positive’, my Yes to life comes easily and my creative energy flows freely.

At some point, something I don’t like happens and I elect to either push on with the ‘positive’, or engage with the lifeshock moment to find my response to reality. For me, pushing on in the ‘positive’ does not usually deliver what I want, at least not for long. It’s more like keeping flying in deteriorating weather with my spiritual tank draining drop by drop.

What is required is my willingness to engage with the event that I did not like. It requires my willpower to engage when my mind lures me into disengaging. My mind is creative in finding ways to do the latter. My discovery, during WOW, of how often and in what multitude of ways I said No to ‘what is’ came as a big surprise to me. I was only aware that my energy was throttled, my spirit heavy and my body somehow attached to my head. No wonder, when I was flying more often than I knew on half empty!

At WOW I rediscovered my passion and true power, and accept and inhabit my body fully, and find my gratitude for events. For me these questions are very meaningful:
  • How do I live more in my preferred, above-the-line space?
  • How do I recover more quickly from disconnects, unpleasant, unwanted events?
  • How do I create more realness and gratitude with what life is, as it is?
  • How will I be in the world, just as it is, with the real power I have in me, with all that I am?
I trust some of what I am sharing resonates with you and is meaningful for you. The richness of WOW is in the many different people from around the globe coming together and sharing their lives in pursuit of being powerful and engaged in our world. Your discoveries will be personal and individual, and yet similar to many others’. I invite you to pause and consider what it would mean for you to be part of WOW.

Taking a More To Life Weekend Course is the first step on the pathway to WOW. MTL Weekends coming up in Christchurch, followed by Melbourne and then Wellington.
Discover your Warrior spirit and let’s make our vision reality!
With love and respect,

Gutsy Women

In 2001 I decided to follow a new path of travel and adventure to Way of a Warrior in Atlanta, USA. Newly widowed, I was fully confident I could travel half way round the world on my own and create some adventures along the way. I quickly discovered I didn’t need to create adventures, they were there waiting for me.

Contrary to my usual style of organizing everything in advance I made no plans, except my departure flight and enrolment for WOW. I would trust the process, as indeed I had been assured I could. My job was ‘to put it out there’ and see what happened. So during the week-long course I talked to people about where they came from and where they were going, participating as much as possible.

The trouble was I didn’t know what I wanted, definitely out of my comfort zone but happy being there. Being at the camp with about 110 people from all over the world was a huge awakening and definitely a unique opportunity. I remember talking about having to use the word ‘widow’ for the first time to describe my status on the plane. Big lifeshock. Plenty of opportunities to deal with this!

When I arrived in Atlanta, home of Coca-Cola and ‘Gone with the Wind’, my host Bob and kindly made sure I reached my destination and the most extraordinary course began. Led by four very experienced leaders, the whole group work highlighted the different ways people see the same things and how they respond in different ways. Smaller groups and teams gave other chances to live this amazing work we do and are learning about.

My learning from WOW continues today. I didn’t ‘get it’ all at the time but even now I remember something or make a new link with the WOW experience. I want everyone to have that and we can be part of making it happen in New Zealand. Being in another country was very special and the highlight for me. Just think of the people who are going to experience our wonderful country soon, by coming to New Zealand.

I wanted to be with people from the course after it ended to share our experiences and help gel it all before going home. June said, ‘You could come with us. Dorothy and I are going to spend a couple of days getting our thoughts together, Sharing the course with women more or less my own age seemed attractive. By the last day of the course anxiety was setting in. I did not have a bed to go to when I left and I would have luggage as well. Which direction should I head in? ‘Just trust,’ said June. So I did. Our host said we were ‘Gutsy women’ Who? Me? Yeah, I reckon.

View and listen!

Many years ago a video of Way of a Warrior was created. Brad Brown is passionately talking about WOW, trainers are inviting you to come, and participants are sharing their experiences. The video was edited for WOW 2011 and includes an introduction by Richard Perry, Director of Training, and an invite to attend from Sr. Trainer Peggy Jarrett. Some of the details are specific for WOW 2011 only. Still worth watching.

In this recording Clare Vivian-Neal, Senior Trainer in New Zealand, talks about her WOW experience.

and in this recording Elaine Alpert, Senior Trainer in the US, is sharing and inviting you to come.

Come on Board

As of today, August 4th, 21 people have decided to come, and 6 of those have already placed their registrations with us. We are preparing for a large training with as many of you as possible attending. This is a group photo of last year's WOW in South Africa.

We are 430 days away from the commencing the training - this does sound like it's very far in the future! Yet, looking a bit closer, there are dates that you may want to consider, you may even see them as more important for your personal journey towards attending WOW:

28-30 October 2011 - Our next More To Life Weekend will be held at Living Springs, the same venue where WOW-NZ will be held => http://moretolife.org.nz/m2lcalendar.html

31 October 2011 - This is the last day for existing NZ & Australia MTL students to register for WOW at the Early Registration fee. You want to make sure that you've secured your place by sending us your registration and deposit before that day.

Which brings me to the next date:

Every single day is a special day!

Every single day is a special day, and today is even more special!  It is my 50th birthday and in just 500 days, Way of a Warrior will start here, close to Christchurch.  The Creation Team and I are excited by the prospect of welcoming you all to this very unique and powerful course.  So what is Way of a Warrior?  What will it enable in you and for your life?

Through the More To Life Weekend, you’ve experienced an awakening to life through Life itself, allowing you to align to the reality of life as it is.  During Way of a Warrior, physical as well as mental and emotional experiences will empower you to take a stand on your reality, moment by moment, day by day.  You will emerge as a warrior of the spirit, with a powerful vision of your life purpose and with the ability to make a stronger contribution to the life of the world around you.

About 8 years ago, after having just completed my More To Life Weekend, I was offered the opportunity to lead a team of 40+ professionals through a significant 2-year project.  I had gained an effective new way to overcome my inner challenges as a human being, confident in my own abilities, with tools on hand in case it didn’t go as I wanted it to.  Way of a Warrior provided me with much more: insights into the ways I limit myself when it gets tough, methods to free myself from my perceived limits, and tools to stretch me to my true potential.  My experiences at Way of a Warrior enabled me to engage fully and authentically with my team and respond with flexibility and firmness to the many daily challenges the project offered me.  I truly enjoyed the whole journey! And it has grown to so much more in me and for me!

More To Life and Way of a Warrior allow you to chart your journey in the sailing ship of life, to captain your ship by working with the winds of life, aligning yourself with life and enjoying the waves, the calms and the storms, all of it.  We invite you to come on board and bring your life to the journey.  Come onboard now, register for the journey, register for Way of a Warrior 2012 in New Zealand. WOW it is, truly!
